Thank you to everyone who follows or has ever read my blog. You are mostly family and friends, along with a random smattering of people in Romania apparently. Welcome to everyone!
In the near future, the blog will be changing a lot. We are scrapping the whole design and starting over (because let's be honest, it looks like a 3 year old designed this layout...oh wait, that was me), all thanks to one of my good friends who is ridiculously talented. There will also be new life to the blog, I have lots of ideas for different posts and will be expanding outside of just a "family update" style. We'll trial run all the crazy, weird, yummy GF recipes I try on a regular basis as well as talking about some things I hold dear to my heart.
All of this means I need to rename my blog. The name fits the design, really lame. I made it and that's what it is, I won't deny the truth in front of me. As my sweet husband said, "the title sounds like a PBS show."
Help me. Help me brainstorm some names for my blog that are not lame, cliche, or "mom blog." The description I wrote which is at the top of the page still rings true to me, to the heart of what I'd like the blog to be, but I can't seem to think of anything that fits right.
This verse has been ringing in my head and heart for several years and I'm thinking it's going to be my verse for this season in life.
Strength and dignity are her clothing,
and she laughs at the time to come.
She opens her mouth with wisdom,
and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.Proverbs 31:25-26
These verses from the same chapter have weight and depth for me as well.
An excellent wife who can find?
She is far more precious than jewels.
The heart of her husband trusts in her and
he will have no lack of gain.
She does him good, and not harm, all the days of her life.
Her children rise up and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
“Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.”
Charm is deceitful, and beauty is vain,
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
Proverbs 31:10-12, 28-30
Feel free to comment below with your ideas. And thanks everyone :) I enjoy the conversations I have with people because of what they read on my blog and I look forward to a whole slue of new conversations soon!
